This course is entirely taught in Italian. Study materials can be provided in the foreign language and the final exam can be taken in the foreign language.

Learning Objectives

The aim of the internship will be that each student, at the end of the internship, knows:

- historical roots of baskin, that it is why it was born and what is goal are;

- how to plan 'inclusive basketball' situations for the team group, in and out of the court;

- baskin's rules and how to apply them to real-game situations

- how to structure the training with specific aims, starting from scratch, and how to think about possibile progressions/regressions in order to adapt trainings to real situations;

- how to respond to certain game strategies using problem-solving skills;

- how to manage a real team group

Program

The program involves the alternations of theory and practice, that will go ahead together.

On the paper, the program includes:

- baskin'hystory

- court's structure and its pecualirities;

- evaluation and classification of different roles;

- schedule's evolution and possible future scenarios;

- inclusive teaching strategies for different types of disabilities;

- game tactics linked to the team group and opponents;

- a real training session of the Italian Champions, The 'Vikings' of Fermignano

Bridging Courses

The preparatory training will be carried out through pinciples of gradual progression. Inserting one brick at a time, we want to build a house in which students will be able to find the most coherent information for every situation

Teaching Material

The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it

Teaching, Attendance, Course Books and Assessment

Teaching

Lessons will be held exclusively in person and everyone must wear sports clothes for the training, except for those with specific medical prescriptions

Innovative teaching methods

Flipped learning in turn: each student will show the previous lesson to the teacher and classmates, allowing them to focus in different topics.

Learning by doing: each student will have to respond to the simulation of some scenarios regarding training and matches by using problem-solving and decision-making skills

Attendance

Partecipation in required for, at least, 75% of the course

Assessment

The assessment method  will be a test in which each student will be asked to develop specific training or match 

Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.

To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
