Learning Objectives
The workshop will seek to further develop the knowledge of the English language, and specifically the language related to psychology, that was learnt during the English Language Course of the CdL in Psychological Sciences and Techniques of which the workshop is a natural continuation.
The aim of the workshop is to provide the basic knowledge and practice necessary for successful group oral presentation of scientific texts in English.
The course objectives will be in two directions:
1. Written and oral text work
- identification of fundamental ideas and keywords
- (re)organisation of the text aimed at oral presentation
2. Presentation work
- phonetics and pronunciation

Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)
Students are expected to show that they have acquired knowledge of the English language in the specific context of psychology through individual homework and through the development of a group presentation.
Teaching Material
The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it

Mandatory attendance.
Only 1 absence is allowed among the 4 lessons, which must be justified by a medical certificate or statement for work reasons. The justification must be sent to the laboratory teacher within 24 hours of the absence.

- Assessment
Evaluation of the assignments produced after each lecture and of the group presentation. Only a positive assessment will award credits for the workshop.
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
