Learning Objectives
The course aims to provide the fundamental elements for designing and managing a sporting event using the most modern management techniques. Additionally, the course seeks to equip students with the tools and methodologies necessary for effective planning, organization, and promotion of an event, both from a commercial and a communication perspective. The mechanisms governing a proper understanding of modern sports marketing will also be explored.

Knowledge and Understanding:
This course provides students with foundational knowledge regarding the management of a sports organization. Special emphasis is placed on the study of new media and their influence on processes related to the planning and promotion of sporting events. To achieve its objectives, the course employs a combination of traditional lectures on fundamental topics, visual materials, and the analysis and evaluation of managerial processes. Additionally, meetings and discussions with scholars and industry professionals are planned.
Applied Knowledge and Understanding:
Students will be able to analyze the dynamics and organizational methods of a sporting event. In particular, they will identify the core principles of organizational management, including communication, marketing strategies, relationships with sponsors, and editorial calendar planning for new media platforms.
Independent Judgment:
Students will develop sufficient critical skills to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of an organization’s or sporting event’s management and communication strategies. They will also be able to identify challenges and obstacles that may threaten the proper organizational and managerial operations of a sports entity.
Communication Skills:
By the end of the course, students will have acquired adequate competence in the use of scientific language. Furthermore, after thoroughly studying the provided materials, students will be able to explain the rules and dynamics governing the processes in the relationship between internal and external communication, accurately defining the roles of a press office.
Learning Ability:
Upon completing the course, students will have gained a solid autonomy in interpreting study materials and media resources related to the course topics. Students will have acquired the ability to critically evaluate, based on their knowledge, the phenomena and situations that characterize the organization of a sporting event.

The teaching materials will be provided during the course lectures. Additionally, the course will feature meetings, seminars, and in-depth sessions conducted by Professor Jacopo Frattini, focusing on sports communication and marketing strategies for sports organizations.

Examination
The exam will be oral and held during the official exam sessions.
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)

To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
