Learning Objectives
The course is aimed at acquiring the theory of possible worlds of Ivan Illich and his political and philosophical endeavor to get out of the friendly-enemy dialectic by building bridges. The course aims, in particular, at mastering the concepts that support its reflection and learning the ethical consequences that can be brought into play.
Specifically, the course aims to promote the following specific educational objectives in the student:
- be able to distinguish the main influences that have marked the quality of the author;
- knowing how to use the language of research appropriately;
- distinguish the issues and priorities that have marked his message: the art of living together, the question of power, the unhappy conscience.
Program
The topics will be mainly:
- Ecological conversion: politics and democracy
- How to be men of dialogue
- The revolutionary value of religion
- The misunderstanding of progressivism
- "Lentius, profundius, suavius"
- For a pedagogy not aimed at training a professional figure

Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)
- The student must show possession of mastery of basic knowledge related to:
content of the discipline, being able to distinguish between the different philosophical traditions of the author, expresses judgments based on the different ethical trends studied.
- The student must also show the possession of the knowledge and vocabulary of the subject in order to reason
according to the specific logic of the discipline.
- The student must demonstrate that he has sufficient communication qualities.
-- The student will then have to demonstrate the ability to independently investigate the issues dealt with
- The student must be able to find the sources necessary for the development of the research itself.
- The student must demonstrate to expose in an exhaustive way the historical problems inherent to the period covered

Oral exam, seminar report, test to open end-of-course questions, in order to evaluate the achievement of the objectives that one wanted to achieve.
The learning outcomes will be assessed through an oral exam and seminar reports in order to evaluate the achievement of the objectives: among these, it is worth mentioning the possession of basic knowledge and the language specific to the philosophical discipline. The evaluation criteria will be the mastery of knowledge and research methodology.
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
