Learning Objectives
Students will consolidate the knowledge acquired during the first year, continue studying more grammar and syntax structures and expand their vocabulary.
Program
Students will complete the study of the basic level of Chinese grammar and start the study of the intermediate level of Chinese grammar. Lessons will mainly focus on:
- verbs with double object;
- 的时候 as conjunction;
- the progressive aspect of an action;
- the pivotal sentence;
- localizers;
- the continuous aspect of an action;
- the structure 一边...一边...;
- the perfect aspect of an action;
- actions as past experience;
- the structure 是...的;
- the adverbs 又 e 再;
- the adverbs 就 e 才;
- 不但/不仅...而且... as conjunctions;
- verbal complements.

Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)
Knowledge and understanding: students will complete the study of elementary-level grammar and vocabulary and start the study of intermediate-level grammar and vocabulary.
Applying knowledge and understanding: students will apply their knowledge and understanding in reading comprehension and oral and written production.
Making judgements: students will develop hypotheses and make autonomous judgments in using their knowledge contextually, understanding the meaning of the texts and evaluating their own production.
Communication skills: students will be able to communicate at an elementary level and express their knowledge clearly.
Learning skills: students will acquire the tools and methodologies to deepen their knowledge with a high degree of autonomy.

Teaching, Attendance, Course Books and Assessment
- Teaching
Teaching methods include face-to-face lectures, exercise sessions, seminars. The course will include teaching practice lessons held by a mother tongue lecturer. Reading, writing and practice in conversation lessons will be conducted by Chinese lectors. The attendance to these lessons is highly recommended.

Teaching instruction will inlcude multimedia resources (video, audio, online learning app).

- Assessment
Assessment methods are oral exams and written tests. Dictionary is not allowed.
Learning outcomes will be assessed through three tests:
- a written test
- an oral test relating to the monographic course, to be taken with the Italian teacher;
- an oral skills test (oral language assessment + listening/dictation), to be taken with the mother-tongue teacher.
The final exam grade corresponds to the average of the three partial tests-
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
