Learning Objectives
Acquisition of the basic notions of baseball and softball games, development of motor skills specific.
Program
Provide the technical, tactical and regulatory foundations of baseball and softball.
Develop teaching skills to teach these sports in educational and sporting contexts.
Learn more about the organizational and management aspects related to training and competitions.
Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)
The expected learning outcomes will be assessed through a written test which includes an essay
focused on the applications of motor actions specific to baseball and softball games.
The evaluation criteria are: the level of mastery of knowledge, the degree of articulation of the
response, the level of mastery in the knowledge and application of the different methodologies
research.
Each of the criteria is assessed on the basis of a four-level scale of values/judgments. Particular weight is
assigned to the first two criteria. The criterion relating to the application of research methodologies constitutes
an additional requirement

Teaching Material
The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it
Supporting Activities
An introduction and practical exercise of the B5 (baseball-five) discipline is planned. The activity is preparatory to learning some fundamentals typical of baseball and softball games with minimum use of equipment.
Teaching, Attendance, Course Books and Assessment
- Teaching
Theoretical lessons in person, application and direct practice in the field. Use of own equipment e specifications of Baseseball and Softball games
- Attendance
obligation to attend 65% of the total hours. Active and proactive participation in practical-exercise activities.
- Course books
Presentations (slides) and texts for consultation and in-depth analysis will be provided. Link to video descriptions on the web.
- Assessment
1. Practical exam: demonstration of basic technical skills and management of a match simulated.
2. Final project: preparation of a thesis relating to the course and the characteristics of the activity specific motors.
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
