Learning Objectives
The aim of the course is to provide knowledge and skills to understand the principles that govern the elements of postural control and exercises, and related teaching. The general and specific training for a correct postural fitness course, paying particular attention to the assistance and preparatory exercises. Another focus of the course is the traineeship in external structures, in order to widen the students' perspective and to give them the opportunity to know the sport sector.
Program
- 1° Module 2 CFU (20 h) in the sede didattica Scienze Motorie: Postural fitness
- 2° Module 4 CFU (40 h) traineeship in external structure with focus on postural fitness, pilates, yoga, ecc.,.Open traineeship and formative activities related to sport sector (seminars, first and sedìcond level sports patents, congress participation, ..).
- 3° Module 1 CFU (10 h): in the sede Didattica Scienze Motorie: registration
Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)
Knowledge and understanding skills: At the end of the course, the student knows the technical features and exercises/training of postural fitness.
2. Applied knowledge and understanding skills: At the end of the course, the student knows and uses the main training methods for different postural control activities and for improving the performance of the disciplines in the program.
3. Autonomy of judgment: At the end of the course the student is able to choose and use the main training methods to improve the ability to move according to individual performance, by type of sport as well as by age and gender.
4. Communicative Skills: At the end of the course the student will use appropriate technical language.
5. Learning Skills: At the end of the course the student will be able to retrieve, analyze, and critically evaluate information and use it to prepare didactic progression.

The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it
Teaching, Attendance, Course Books and Assessment
- Teaching
Lectures, exercises, group and individual activities.
- Attendance
Mandatory attendance at 65% of hours. Students who do not reach the required attendance quorum will have to make up the hours in the following year and will not have CFUs credited.
- Assessment
The course will be approved and registered when the students accomplished all the hours (70 hours). It is possible that the teacher of postural fitness asks the students an oral interview/written materials or text to check for comprehension or to compensate for the absence.
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
Additional Information for Non-Attending Students
- Attendance
Minimum mandatory attendance: 65% of total hours for each module. As for the practical activities, attendance is intended as the active participation in the lesson.
Students who do not reach the required attendance quorum will have to make up the hours in the following year and will not have CFUs credited.
