Learning Objectives

This Spanish language program is developed considering the C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference, whose objectives are:

• Understand extensive discourse even when it is not clearly structured and when relationships are only implied and not explicitly stated. Understand TV programs and films without too much effort.

• Comprehend long and complex texts of a literary or factual nature, appreciating distinctions in style. Understand specialized articles and lengthy technical instructions even if they do not pertain to your specialty.

• Express yourself fluently and spontaneously without obviously having to search for the right expressions. Use the language flexibly and effectively for social and professional purposes. Formulate ideas and opinions precisely and skillfully relate your contributions to those of other speakers.

• Present clear and detailed descriptions of specific topics that include other subjects, developing particular ideas and concluding with an appropriate ending.

• Be able to express yourself in clear, well-structured texts, presenting viewpoints at length. Write about complex topics in letters, essays, or reports, highlighting what you consider to be important aspects. Select the appropriate style for the readers to whom your writing is addressed.

• Produce clear, fluent, and well-structured speech, demonstrating controlled use of organizational structures, connectors, and cohesive mechanisms.

Program

COMMUNICATIVE RESOURCES, GRAMMATICAL RESOURCES, LEXICAL RESOURCES, AND TEXTUAL PRODUCTS

The communicative resources, grammatical resources, lexical resources, and textual products that will be part of the exam are those studied during the course in the textbooks and materials provided by the instructors.

It is important to emphasize that the grammatical topics from previous levels are essential for acquiring the elements of this level; therefore, their knowledge is a necessary prerequisite. For proper consolidation and review, if needed, the student must complete the writing assignments given by the instructor.
