Learning Objectives
The exercises aim to strengthen the practical understanding of the theoretical concepts covered in class, developing the ability to apply financial mathematics methods and tools to the solution of real-world problems.
Program
The exercises cover the following topics:
- present and future value of financial cash flows;
- certain annuities in different time and financial configurations;
- amortization plans;
- valuation and yield of bonds.

Teaching, Attendance, Course Books and Assessment
- Teaching
The exercises take place primarily in person, with some sessions held online. Before each session, students complete a short test (4 multiple-choice questions) to assess their understanding of the concepts covered.
During the session, exercises are carried out and discussed; the texts of the exercises are provided in advance.

Additional Information for Non-Attending Students
- Teaching
Non-attending students have access to a complete exercise book, the texts of the exercises carried out during classroom sessions, and additional support materials.
Dedicated exercise sessions are also provided online in the early evening, to ensure equal learning opportunities compared to attending students.
