The course in Pedagogy of graphic expression is a training path to increase organisation skills for laboratory teaching in training and learning environments (educators, teachers, pedagogy coordinators etc) where graphic movement becomes an essential training resource thanks to it being given a “new” meaning. The inter-disciplinary, pedagogical approach used in the course intends to show how the path of expression in children has an important communication value that can connect internal experiences in each subject with the outside world, by activating emotional, affection and cognitive resources. This circular pattern is even more evident in writing where more complex linguistic codes appear, like writing or the graphic experience that precedes it, as pedagogy of writing is the main tool in an anthropological process (as an expression of historical-cultural choices), as it is a theoretical-educational and instrumental-teaching construction for mediation between a sense of belonging and the individual, who begins to write using the educational model that responds to the complex motivations of community, in a given space and time. The possibility of rethinking the entire developmental-expression process of writing in a new light, by abandoning some cultural misunderstandings, allows some educational practices to be changed in favour of laboratory experiences, considered to be the “privileged” place to test possible educational repercussions of the principles looked at during the course. In particular, this occurs in two complementary modules, on: a) understanding the evolutionary process of graphic expression, starting with its first appearance (scribbling), to then reach drawing and writing, the latter also addressed by writing education and re-education experts; b) study and analysis of some teaching-laboratory plans and organisation, aimed at aiding graphic expression.
