Learning Objectives

The master’s degree programme in Communication and Advertising for Organizations (CPO) is designed for those students who want to seek a professional career in communication and advertising, and who seek advanced competence in the areas of creative and management, with regard to communicative processes and consumption, in leadership roles within organizations.
The degree programme enables the acquisition of advanced communicative and managerial skills in the fields of organizational communication and the strategies and techniques of communication, with particular attention to the new connections between production and consumption, and to the development of social networking platforms in the most innovative communicative processes, in public and private organizations and marketing agencies.

Advertising and Organizations Communication (LM-59)

Graduates of the Master’s course in CPO gain the managerial, organizational and leadership skills and competence, which will qualify them for high levels of responsibility in communication and creative management in businesses, organizations and advertising agencies. The main professional profiles that the course provides for include: copywriter, accounts, media expert in advertising agencies, social media manager, content manager and project manager in web agencies, communication manager, communicator and public communicator in the communication offices of companies and organizations, public relations officer, freelancer.

The course offers theoretical and practical training by juxtaposing specialized lessons with professionalizing laboratories and workshops on relevant themes, held by experts from the world of business and advertising.
At the conclusion of the study programme, all students undertake an internship in communication or advertising agencies, office or organizations.
The teaching staff is composed of university professors as well as professionals and experts from the fields of advertising and communication.

- There is no obligatory class attendance.

- It is possible to apply for the study course in STANDARD MODE (two-year course) or PART TIME MODE (four-year course).

- The course also includes "la COLONIA della comunicazione”, a permanent laboratory-agency coordinated by professionals that collaborate on the degree, which enables students to participate in public competitions and commissions for advertising and communication campaigns that can subsequently be included in the professional portfolio of Master’s students.

To sign up, students must possess specific knowledge and competence, as per the guidelines in the course’s Regulation; these must be demonstrable to the Education Commission before the beginning of the programme:
Curricular requirements
a) a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas:
Communication Science (L-20 in the Italian education regulation)
Cultural Heritage (L-1)
Figurative Arts, Music, Performance and Fashion (L-3)
Philosophy (L-5, as per D.M. 270/2004)
Literature (L-10, as per D.M. 270/2004)
Modern Languages and Cultures (L-11)
Tourism (L-15)
Business Economics and Management (L-18)
Economics (L-33)
Politics and International Relations (L-33)
Social Work (L-39)
Sociology (L-40)
b) a Bachelor’s degree in fields that are not listed above, on the condition that the individual curriculum that the graduate followed had a minimum of 60 CFU in the Academic Disciplinary Sectores listed here (in Italian).
In both cases a) and b), the graduate must have at least 3 CFU worth of study in the English language, or, alternatively, have obtained a certificate demonstrating their level in the language from organizations that the School of Communication recognizes.

Personal preparation
The Personal Preparation Test (VPP) consists in having completed the Bachelor’s degree with a final grade of at least 90/110 (or equivalent).
