My main topics of research are related to:
- Geochemistry and mineralogy of geothermal/hydrothermal systems, with a particular focus on the fluids geochemistry, diffuse gas emanations from the soils and alteration mineralogical assemblages.
- Environmental geochemistry related to: i) ground- and surface water pollution, aquifer vulnerability and seawater intrusion, ii) diffuse biogas emissions monitoring from landfills, and iii) potentially hazardous minerals.
- Exploration, potential and environmental impact assessment of shallow - low-temperature - geothermal resources.
