Learning Objectives
Business communication has become more and more international. Companies buz and sell prodiucts in foreign countries and they have collaborators with various native languages. In order to guarantee an efficient communication international companies have to figure out a strategy for tha management of linguistic diversity. They have to define which languages can be used in negotiations and meetings, in which languages the company addresses the stakeholders or which languages should be known by collaborators. Such a strategy can be defines a language policy. The course will try to figure out goals and measures of language policies and the persons respnsible for realizing them. It will analyse many examples to find out how international enterprises manage these challenges.
