Sabrina Vanessa Link / Collaboratrice ed Esperta Linguistica a tempo determinato

Sabrina Vanessa Link studied German and English linguistics, literature, and didactics (Gymnasiallehramt) at the Ludwig-Maximilans-Universität in Munich. In her thesis she investigated English phraseologisms.

After she graduated, she moved to London to work as a German language assistant sponsored by the PAD (Pädagogischer Austauschdienst). Subsequently she moved to Scotland, where she worked as a German lecturer (DAAD Lektorin) at the University of Aberdeen from 2016-2021. Parallel to her position in Aberdeen she completed a PhD in English linguistics at the Ludwig-Maximilans-Universität in Munich. During her PhD she I empirically investigated English and German neologisms, aiming to find factors that cause the use and diffusion of new words.

Since October 2021 she works as a lecturer for German at the Università degli Studi di Urbino Carlo Bo.

Her research interests range from gendered language, pragmatics and lexicology to language acquisition and didactics of German as a foreign language. 

She has given presentations at various international conferences and has contributed a Grammar chapter to the project Shortcuts into German Grammar. She further prepared teaching materials for the German language competition 2022, a project from the DAAD London and the Institute of Modern Language Research.

Sabrina Vanessa Link ha studiato linguistica, letteratura e didattica tedesca ed inglese (Gymnasiallehramt) presso la Ludwig-Maximilans-Universität di Monaco. Nella sua tesi ha affrontato i fraseologismi inglesi.

Dopo la laurea, si è trasferita a Londra per lavorare come assistente di lingua tedesca sponsorizzata dal PAD (Pädagogischer Austauschdienst). Successivamente, si è trasferita in Scozia dove ha lavorato come lettrice di tedesco (DAAD Lektorin) presso l'Università di Aberdeen dal 2016 al 2021. Parallelamente a questo ha completato un dottorato di ricerca in linguistica inglese presso la Ludwig-Maximilans-Universität di Monaco. Durante il dottorato ha studiato empiricamente i neologismi inglesi e tedeschi, con l'obiettivo di trovare i fattori che ne causano l'uso e la diffusione

Da ottobre 2021 lavora come collaboratrice ed esperta linguistica e docente di tedesco presso l'Università degli Studi di Urbino Carlo Bo.

I suoi interessi di ricerca spaziano dal linguaggio di genere, dalla pragmatica e dalla lessicologia all'acquisizione linguistica e alla didattica del tedesco come lingua straniera. Ha presentato a conferenze internazionali ed ha contribuito alla realizzazione di un capitolo sulla grammatica tedesca nell’ambito del progetto Shortcuts into German Grammar. Ha inoltre preparato il materiale didattico per il concorso di lingua tedesca 2022 (German Language Competiton 2022), un progetto finanziato dal DAAD London e dall’'Institute of Modern Language Research.
