Since 1987 he has been co-founder (with F. Vetrano) and then Scientific Curator (1994) of the Historical Collection of Scientific Instruments preserved in the Physics Cabinet: Urbino Museum of Science and Technology of the University of Urbino Carlo Bo. The Museum is the oldest scientific institution of the University of Urbino (founded in 1800) which currently houses a peculiar and very rare Collection of Historical Scientific Instruments dates from the second half of the 18th century to the early 20th century. Since 2001 he has been an assistant professor in History of Physics (S.S.D. FIS/08) at the same University. His main research activities focus on the History of Physics in general and the History of Scientific Instruments. He currently teaches at the University of Urbino the following courses: "History of Scientific Instruments” at the Department of Pure and Applied Sciences (DiSPeA) and "Elements of Physics and Didactics of Physics" at the Department of Humanities (DISTUM). From 2006 to 2012 and 2015 to 2021 he is a member of the SISFA Board (Italian Society for the History of Physics and Astronomy). During the years 2015-2021, he also has held the position of SISFA National Secretary.
