I received my Ph.D. in Intercultural Studies from the University of Urbino. My Ph.D. thesis focuses on the contrastive analysis between Chinese and Italian languages and explores the difficulties of learning typologically distant languages.
I am currently a research fellow in the Department of Communication Sciences, Humanities and International Studies, at University of Urbino. I teach Chinese language in M.A. and B.A. courses at the University of Urbino;
I taught Chinese language pedagogy within the Italian Ministry of Education training program for secondary schools teachers at University for foreign students of Siena (2015) and participated as a member of the commission of The Italian Ministry of Education Syllabus for Chinese teaching in secondary schools (2015-2016).
My research interests include: Chinese as a second and as a foreign language, Chinese language acquisition, Chinese language education, Chinese teaching methodology, teaching materials and teaching methods. My research publications mainly focus on the acquisition and teaching of Chinese as a foreign language. I cooperated in editing didactic materials for teaching Chinese as a foreign language in high school.
